Mimer AI Factory at Data Innovation Summit 2026 brought the team to Kistamässan in Stockholm on May 6–8. One of the key events in the Nordic data and AI community, the summit gathered thousands of visitors, exhibitors, and industry leaders. The Mimer team attended with a booth and an enthusiastic crew.
The agenda was packed. It featured nine stages, more than 180 presentations and sessions, around a hundred exhibitors, and thousands of visitors. Several major industry players also attended the event. These included NVIDIA, which will provide the chips for our upcoming supercomputer. Large Swedish companies such as Saab, H&M, TRATON Group, Vattenfall, and Electrolux were also present.
The sessions covered topics across data management, analytics, data engineering, and AI-driven innovation. In addition, Mimer partner RISE contributed several talks. Highlights included AI in Healthcare and the Public Sector.
The Mimer team thoroughly enjoyed the event. Throughout the summit, we had many interesting conversations with potential customers and partners. Several visitors came from other European countries, including Norway, Germany, and Austria. It became clear that our mission resonates strongly. Supporting organisations and companies in developing AI solutions addresses real needs and challenges.
Some of the key topics we discussed included:
- The need for sovereign compute infrastructure in Europe
- How we support customers with compute infrastructure, software, services, knowledge, and expertise
- The journey from developing solutions to production and scaling
- How ecosystem collaboration can advance the AI agenda in Sweden and Europe
Overall, we were very glad to participate this year. We made many new contacts and received strong validation for our offering. In addition, the event created many networking opportunities. Well-organised evening activities, drinks, and entertainment helped round off the experience.
