Bull has been selected by EuroHPC JU (Joint Undertaking) to deliver the new AI-optimised supercomputer for Mimer AI Factory. It will be installed at NAISS in Linköping later in 2026.

“The new supercomputer will be the engine that helps organisations move faster from ideas to real-world impact. Through Mimer AI Factory’s network of experts and a growing portfolio of services built on this infrastructure, we will support users with everything from model development and testing to deployment, training and sector-specific innovation”, says Mimer AI Factory Director Rossen Apostolov.
“Just as importantly, the platform will provide advanced capabilities for secure and sensitive data management. This is critical for organisations looking to adopt AI with confidence in areas where trust, compliance and data protection are essential.”
The total value of the contract, including acquisition, delivery, installation, and maintenance, is around EUR30 million. Funding is shared 50/50 between Sweden (through the Swedish Research Council) and EuroHPC (through the Digital Europe Programme). NAISS and EuroHPC will each control and allocate half of the resources on the system.
The liquid-cooled system will be based on Bull’s latest BullSequana XH3500 architecture, specifically designed for advanced AI workloads. It will have 100 nodes equipped with GB200 for a total of 400 GPUs, as well as a small CPU partition with Grace CPUs. The solution combines cloud-enabled supercomputing resources with large-scale storage for sensitive data, advanced software layers, and dedicated vertical expertise to support AI use-case design and deployment.
