On 20 April, Mimer attended the Gothenburg Artificial Intelligence Alliance (GAIA) Conference 2026. GAIA is a non-profit association that promotes interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and data engineering in Gothenburg and the surrounding area.

Our group included members from two of our teams: me and Ruiwen Xie from Materials Science, and Leon Boschman, Sima Sinael and Susanne Stenberg representing Autonomous Systems.

We engaged with a broad range of companies, research groups, and public sector actors, presenting what Mimer can offer in terms of AI infrastructure, expertise, and collaboration opportunities. We spoke with SCAILAB, Hogia, SAAB, MobilityXlab, Coretura and many other companies and organisations, discussing their needs and exploring potential collaborations.

A particularly interesting interaction was with Chalmers AI Society, a student-driven community with around 15 developers and 400 members. They showed strong interest in Mimer’s services, especially the opportunity to access free resources and support for students, and expressed enthusiasm about future collaborations.

Overall, the event provided a valuable platform for networking, sharing knowledge, and strengthening connections between academia and industry in the AI ecosystem.
