Health and Life Science Data Lab
The Health and Life Science Data Lab supports AI development using biomedical and health data across the European AI Factories network.
Mimer coordinates this European initiative, enabling access to standardized datasets, tools, and infrastructure for health and life science AI. The lab supports activities in the European Health Data Space, as well as legal and ethical AI research and innovation activities under national and European health data regulation, such as patient data law and the GDPR.
When is this Data Lab relevant?
- When you need to work with sensitive data under GDPR or health regulations
- When you want to use standardized datasets across European infrastructures
- When your AI solution requires high data quality and interoperability
Supporting clinical innovation through standards and infrastructure
The Health and Life Science Data Lab builds on established international standards and European life science infrastructure to support interoperable data and responsible AI development in health.
Key standards include:
Part of a European AI infrastructure
